Job Description

As our new Payroll & Benefits Associate, you’ll be the face of this vital team, acting as the first line of support for Mumbai employees.  You’ll be managing the monthly payroll and benefits administration for the Mumbai office. 

These responsibilities will include:

Payroll Processing

  • Preparing the monthly payroll inputs and sharing it with the vendor

  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of payroll inputs and payroll approvals by adhering to the prescribed timelines

  • Assist with payroll data, reconciliation and audit

  • Respond to employee inquiries and resolve issues related to payroll and benefits 

  • Work closely with the payroll vendor for timely preparation of Annual returns and maintaining employee registers 

  • Monitoring payroll compliance are met every month

  • Manage payroll partner relationships including identifying recurring issues in service and escalating appropriately. 

Benefits Administration

  • Assist in administering benefits program, including health insurance, life insurance, retirement plans and tax saving benefits

You need to have a basic understanding of payroll processing. You’ll ensure that our data is updated with accurate payroll related information and ensure the organisation complies with all applicable laws and regulations related to payroll, taxes and benefits.You will conduct payroll and benefits knowledge based sessions for new employees as part of our monthly onboarding process. In this role you’ll be working with an experienced and knowledgeable global team who are supportive and collaborative.

Qualifications

With your experience of Payroll and Benefits you bring a good foundation of Indian payroll regulations, payroll compliances and the benefits corporate companies enrol in. You’re familiar with industry practices and compliance regulations including PF and other statutory deductions.  Great with numbers, you’re extremely detail oriented, and use your time management to juggle multiple priorities, working with colleagues in different locations.

Your English communication skills, both spoken and written, allow you to convey information clearly and simply, and you’re happy to deliver training sessions to employees to share your expertise in payroll and benefits. You do this in a friendly and supportive way, responding to queries and tickets to offer help.
