Job Description

What will you do?

The Head of Compliance is the senior manager responsible for all aspects of Compliance for the EU and US regions and operationalising compliance systems and processes across the business. This role reports directly to the Global Head of Compliance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior leader in Compliance engaging with regional SLTs.

  • Assist the Global Head of Compliance and General Counsel in coordinating and executing global strategy.

  • Seek and offer opportunities to improve engagement and processes within the team, stakeholders and clients. 

  • Work collaboratively with leadership in Compliance Operations, China Compliance and Audit.

  • Manage and nurture teams in each region, overseeing day to day operations and serving as the point of escalation.

  • Lead new policy initiatives and oversee annual reviews.

  • Engage directly with clients throughout the client lifecycle and nurture relationships. 

  • Collaborate with the Legal team to support contract negotiations and manage risks. 

  • Play an active role in company wide training development and delivery.

We are seeking applicants who have:

  • Demonstrated mastery of a corporate compliance program, including the management of policies, procedures and training.

  • A degree level qualification - law degree preferred but not required

  • Experience at a financial services regulator or regulated/registered investment firm or bank

  • Demonstrated business and professional acumen 

  • Experience working autonomously and making decisions

  • Experience dealing with stakeholders and/or clients 

  • Experience managing a team
