Job Description

What will you do?

As an Associate Vice President (AVP) Account Management, you’ll be at the forefront of driving client success. You’ll manage a core book of Credit clients, nurturing relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. This isn't a 9-to-5 role; it’s a dynamic environment where priorities shift, and you must adapt quickly to address urgent client needs and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Ownership: Manage a portfolio of Credit clients, fostering strong relationships with key decision-makers at every level, analysts to CIOs.

  • Revenue Growth: Drive renewals, cross-selling, and expansion opportunities, taking full commercial responsibility for your territory.

  • Strategic Planning: Engage in quarterly territory and account planning, contributing to the overall Account Management strategy.

  • Client Advocacy: Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring needs are met and feedback is communicated effectively.

  • Data Management: Maintain accurate client data in Salesforce, forecast effectively, and track performance.

  • Leadership: Mentor and manage an Associate, aligning their priorities with your own and providing coaching.

  • Feedback Loop: Collect, document, and feedback client information to other teams in the business.

You’ll be a key part of a close-knit, supportive team, collaborating with various internal stakeholders. The team fosters open communication, thrives on collaboration, and values adaptability. 

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience: You’re an account manager with a proven track record of achieving revenue goals (subscription-based selling experience a plus).

  • Skills: Strong renewal and sales skills, commercial acumen, financial understanding (helpful, but not essential), and proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM systems.

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; ability to engage effectively with all levels, from junior analysts to C-level executives.

  • Behaviours: Flexibility, confidence, organization, adaptability, and a customer-centric mindset. You’ll be a self-motivated, driven individual with a passion for finance and a strong desire to succeed.

  • Bonus: Experience in fixed-income markets or understanding of hedge funds/credit firms is a plus.
